Take the first step in your dive career and become a PADI Divemaster. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you'll expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills as you become a dive professional. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.

What can PADI Divemasters do?
Work at local dive centers, on live-aboard dive boats, and at exotic resort locations.
Assist PADI Instructors with students
Lead PADI Scuba Divers on guided dive tours
Teach and certify PADI Skin Divers
Teach PADI Discover Snorkeling programs
Conduct PADI Scuba Review programs for certified divers
Lead certified divers on Discover Local Diving experiences
Teach Emergency First Response programs after successful completion of an Emergency First Response Instructor course.
Conduct PADI Discover Scuba Experiences after successful application.

What do I need to start?
PADI Rescue Diver certification or other qualifying certification
Medical clearance signed by a physician
20 logged dives minimum at start of course, completing 60 dives prior to qualification.
18 years old

What will I do?
Learn dive leadership through classroom and independent study sessions
Complete water skills and stamina exercises in confined and open water
Training exercises to test organizational and problem solving abilities
An internship or series of practical training exercises

How long will it take?
By Internship only between one and three months

What is included in the course fees?
PADI Divemaster Manual
Diving Insurance
PIC Application
You will need to provide two passport sized photographs prior to certification.
Not included are the PADI Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving, Diving Knowledge Workbook and PADI Instructor Manual to which you will need reference.
Not included are the registration, and membership fees payable directly to PADI

Well done, if you are reading this then you have completed the first part of your own Personal Underwater Journey, you are now on the brink of taking your first steps as a PADI Professional. As a PADI Divemaster you will automatically gain a new level of respect whenever you go diving, you will be joining the largest and most respected group of professional divers anywhere in the world, and you will gain more confidence than you ever imagined!

Yes, this is it, this is your chance to evolve! To attain a new level, a diving qualification way beyond what most divers could ever hope to achieve. You will experience a newintensity of diver training, and yes, before you ask, it’s hard work, there will be highs and lows throughout the program, but when you qualify, and you will, your sense of achievement will be truly immense.

So are you ready to take the challenge?
Our PADI Divemaster Course is run over a minimum of a two month period, as an internship within a busy and active PADI 5 Star IDC Centre. This internship portion of your course will throw you into a real training and diving environment, almost immediately, and you will start to live the experience and learn what really happens. This is probably the most enjoyable and definitely the most rewarding part of the PADI Divemaster Course, it gives you a huge buzz the first time you really do help someone complete that difficult skill or re-assure them when they are a little apprehensive, or give someone their first ever underwater experience and they achieve it, BECAUSE OF YOU!

Your PADI Divemaster Course will comprise elements of knowledge development work in the classroom and skill training sessions in both confined water and open water. You will be trained by a PADI Master Instructor, who has 11 years of experience. During your course much of your training will give you a “hands on” role, giving you that invaluable experience that cannot be gained during a couple of weekends! In addition to these scheduled parts of your program, you will also need to complete several self study team projects and homework portions along the way. Like we said, it’s hard but rewarding work.

Your specific course dates will be discussed and confirmed when you apply. There will be a high level of commitment required and we are happy to discuss proposed schedules with you.
