Barranco Seco is yet another example of the volcanic origin of Tenerife. This dive site can be divided into a deep or a shallow section, making it ideal for a morning or afternoon dive.
The deeper section consists of a stepped rock slope descending to 30 - 32 metres where many gardener eels, large shoals of grunts and fan worms can be seen. There is an entrance to a small tunnel that can be explored, and it is safe to swim through. From here we make a gradual ascent up the slope looking for moray and octopus before returning to a volcanic arch at 10 metres making a perfect scenic end to the deeper dive. |
